PRF heals wounds. (Platelet Rich Fibrin) Wounds can be hard to heal, especially if they have ragged edges, tissue is displaced, or the area has been contaminated. War wounds present with all or combinations of these complications. Because of PRF’s concentration of healing cells and growth factors derived from the patient’s own blood it can be administered as a liquid, an injection, a solid plug, or a graft/membrane covering. The PRF not only directly supplies healing cells, proteins, and growth factors but also stimulates the area and recruits beneficial stem cells, white blood cells, and other factors essential to wound healing.
That’s why we have partnered with the most prestigious clinics in Ukraine to supply equipment and resources towards helping Ukraine’s wounded warriors and civilians heal from wounds. This includes:
· Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Kyiv: · The Research and Practical Center of Tissue and Cellular Therapy · NODUS: Center for Neurological Rehabilitation, Brovary,
Dr. Richard Miron, leading researcher, clinician, and educator about PRF has generously donated the necessary equipment to begin treatments. Eventually we will need more test tubes and collection kits. These cost about $5 to treat one wounded soldier. To make it easy, we have priced a box of 100 tubes at $100, or just $1 each. One box of tubes could benefit over 30 wounded personnel. Please help if you can by conveniently donating on line. Any amount is appreciated. |
